Fig. 168: IDS Camera Manager - Manual ETH configuration
Device ID
Here, you can change the IP configuration of the GigE uEye camera.
•Persistent IP
The entered IP address is permanently saved in the camera when you close the dialog box. The persistent IP address is retained in the camera memory even when the camera is disconnected from the power supply. If you connect the camera to a different PC, make sure the persistent IP address is valid on that computer, as well.
•Subnetmask
Enter a valid subnet mask for the persistent IP address.
Multicast Configuration
•Multicast IP
In this area you enter a multicast IP for the camera when the camera is operated in multicast mode (is_Multicast()). Valid multicast IP adresses are 224.0.0.1 to 239.255.255.255.
•Enable
Use this option to enable or disable the multicast mode. With enabled multicast mode the camera sends its image data packets to multiple PCs simultaneously. You can configure virtual multicast cameras using the additional functions of the IDS Camera Manager.
If you enable or disable the multicast mode, you must restart other programs like uEye Demo or a second IDS Camera Manager.
![]() |
When a camera should be used in multicast mode, the camera must be configured with a persistent IP address. |
Status
This field displays information on the defined IP configuration.
