Application notes UI-359x

Pixel clock

•The pixel clock can only be adjusted in steps. The steps get bigger with higher values.

•With the UI-359xCP/UI-359xLE Rev. 2 model, it is possible that sporadic camera reconnects may occur if the pixel clock is changed during operation under high camera temperature.

Gain

•The master gain consists of analog gain levels and digital intermediate levels in the sensor.

•The gain levels 0…100 does not increase linearly.

•Partly the gain levels are occupied twice. That means that adjacent steps generate the same master gain.

Bit depth

•The sensor always runs in 10 bit mode. Here, you get the same results as in 12 bit mode.

Subsampling/Binning/AOI

•The frame rate is only conditionally increased when the horizontal resolution is reduced by binning, subsampling, or AOI.

•Under some conditions, a camera reconnect may occur when changing the binning.

Using flash

•Flash in freerun mode is not supported.

•The global flash window (global flash function) is not supported.

Sequencer mode

•The sequencer mode is not supported.

USB 2.0 operation

•The camera model does not support USB 2.0 operation.

Lens

•We recommend to use a high-resolution megapixel lens.
