Syntax

INT is_ImageStabilization (HIDS hCam, UINT nCommand, void *pParam, UINT nSizeOfParam)

Description

Using is_ImageStabilization(), you can enable the electronic image stabilization function if supported by your uEye model.

The nCommand input parameter is used to select the function mode. The pParam input parameter depends on the selected function mode. If you select functions for setting or returning a value, pParam contains a pointer to a variable of the UINT type. The size of the memory area to which pParam refers is specified in the nSizeOfParam input parameter.

hint_info

This function is currently only supported by the UI-3013XC camera model.

Notes on the image stabilization

•The image stabilization can only be enabled if the automatic exposure (IS_SET_ENABLE_AUTO_SENSOR_GAIN + IS_SET_ENABLE_AUTO_SENSOR_SHUTTER) is active.

•If image stabilization is enabled, the noise suppression function has no effect.

•The image is stabilized electronically using part of the field of view for movement compensation. When this function is enabled, the visible field of view is reduced (depends on resolution and operation mode).

•The image stabilization feature at the same time activates the UI-3013XC camera's anti flicker function.

•If you have mounted the camera (e.g. on a stand) so that it is vibration-free, you should disable the image stabilization function. Otherwise, slight image background movement could occur.
