IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH recommends to adjust the power supply to the power requirement of the camera to limit overheating in case of short circuit. To ensure electrical safety, the power supply must meet the requirements for LPS (Limited Power Source) according to EN 60950-1 or class 2 according to UL 1310.
For information on the camera's power consumption, see Camera and sensor data chapter.

Note on power supply of the GigE uEye LE The GigE uEye LE can be supplied with voltage either via the 10-pin Molex connector or the 2-pin terminal strip. Do not use both power supplies simultaneously for the camera power supply! |
![]() |
Note on power supply with long cables Please keep in mind that a voltage drop will occur when you use long cables for power supply to the camera. Choose the size of the cable in such a way that the supply voltage available at the input of the camera is at least 12 V. |
I2C operation
The I2C bus is operated with a clock frequency of approx. 400 kHz. Multi master mode is not allowed on the I2C bus while the GigE uEye LE camera is used.
