Note on face detection

Upside-down faces are not detected. You have to turn the camera or enable the mirror function in order to detect upside-down faces.

The position and size coordinates of the detected faces depend on the image resolution. The coordinate (0,0) is at the top left corner of the image.

•Image Stabilization
Enable the "Image Stabilization" option to activate the camera's electronic image stabilization feature.

•Denoising
Enable the "Denoising" option to reduce the visible sensor noise on homogeneous surfaces.

•Auto Focus
Activates the automatic focus.

•Manual Focus
To use the manual focus, disable the "Auto Focus" option. Use the slider to set the focus manually.

•Trigger/Once
With the buttons "Trigger" or "Once" you can adjust the focus singulalry.

hint_info

According to the sensor manufacturer, there is no guarantee that a focal point set manually will lead to a reproducible focal distance. A focal value determined with one model will not necessarily result in the same focal point for a different model.

Image Parameter

You can set sharpness and edge enhancement for the USB 3 uEye XC.

•Sharpness
Use the slider to increase or decrease the image sharpness. The default value is 0.

•Saturation
With the slider, you can configure the color saturation. If you want to reduce the color saturation move the slider into the negative. The default value is 0.

Autoparameters

You can set the exposure time and gain either automatically or manually for the USB 3 uEye XC.

•AES
Enable the "AES" option to activate the auto exposure control.

•AGC
Enable the "AGC" option to activate the auto gain control.

•Auto Backlight Compensation
Enable the "Auto Backlight Compensation" option to adjust the automatic brightness control in the camera in that way that the influence of a bright backlight on the control function is reduced. This way, you can capture a clearer image of dark objects against bright background.

Resetting the parameters

Click on the "Default" button to reset all parameters to the model-specific defaults.
