uEye Camera Manual Version 4.92

Application notes UI-3013XC

Sensor

•Depending on the camera settings (resolution, focus, etc.), the image acquisition in snapshot mode may take up to 2 seconds.

Noise suppression

•The noise suppression function has no effect if image stabilization is enabled.

•Up to 4 images may be lost if you activate the noise suppression and auto gain control with a high gain value.

Focus

•The autofocus adjusts in distance zones, while the manual focus has finer levels.

•The focus on "infinity" is not necessarily the maximum configurable value, but may be lower. Thus the focus can be adjusted via the "infinite" point.

•If you set a numerically fixed manual focus, you do not necessarily get the same result with different cameras.

•The time for focusing depends on the set frame rate and distance between camera and captured object.

•The focus zones can only be used in snapshot mode. In live mode the camera always focuses on the image center.

Face detection

•The face detection is only active in live mode but not in snapshot mode.

Saving parameters

•By default, the uEye parameter file (ini file) saves only one image resolution. But for the UI-3013XC, you can set two different image resolutions for live and snapshot mode. Only the image resolution of the current operating mode is saved in the uEye parameter file.
