Detailed Description

Class for writing a point cloud to file, currently supporting only the ply format. If no file extension is provided, .ply is automatically added.

This function is still in development and not released.

void Write	(	const std::string &	filePath,
		const PointCloud &	cloud ) const

Saves a point cloud to a file on the disk.

The chosen file type is determined by the given extension.

The following file formats are supported:

• PLY (only binary, external link to Wikipedia)

If no file extension is provided, .ply is automatically added.

Parameters

[in]	filePath	The non existing file is saved to the file_path, which should encompass both the directory path and the filename.
[in]	cloud	The point cloud to be saved.

Exceptions

NotSupportedException	The file ending or the point type is not supported to write to file.
IOException	If the specified file path is invalid or you lack the necessary permissions.
